This role is ideal for someone passionate about textiles, craftsmanship, and contemporary Indian fashion, with a strong appreciation for artisanal processes and thoughtful design.\nYou will work closely on developing collections that balance modern silhouettes with the richness of handwoven textiles and traditional techniques.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign & Product Development\nDevelop seasonal apparel concepts aligned with the brand aesthetic\nCreate sketches, tech packs, measurements, and construction details\nWork with handloom and artisanal textiles including Jamdani, woven cottons, and natural fabrics\nCoordinate sampling, fittings, and design refinements\nResearch trends, silhouettes, colours, and textile techniques relevant to the brand\nCollaborate closely with artisans, weavers, and production partners to translate concepts into finished garments\n\nOperations & Coordination\nMaintain clear communication between design and production teams\nTroubleshoot production challenges while balancing design intent and feasibility\nSupport costings, vendor sourcing, and process optimisation\nEnsure timely execution across collections and replenishment styles\n\nRequirements\n1-2 years of experience in fashion design\nStrong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and silhouette development\nExperience working with handloom textiles and artisanal craft techniques is strongly preferred\nUnderstanding of textile behaviour, weaving variations, and the nuances of handcrafted fabrics\nProficiency in Adobe Illustrator and design documentation\nStrong organisational and communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects and timelines\nPassion for craftsmanship, textiles, and thoughtful fashion\n\nBonus Skills\nExperience with Indian textile traditions and craft clusters\nKnowledge of pattern making and fit development\nFamiliarity with sustainable or small-batch production systems\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nSomeone with a strong design sensibility and a deep appreciation for handloom textiles — a designer who understands both the creative and technical aspects of working with handcrafted fabrics and can translate them into refined, contemporary garments.\n\nInterested candidates please email your resume and portfolio to and cc .
