Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)\n\nLocation: Noida / Gurgaon (3 days' work from office)\n\nPlease note: Candidates should be available to join immediately or within 15–30 days. Only candidates based in Delhi NCR and nearby locations will be preferred.\n\nThis opportunity is particularly well-suited for professionals who are immediately available, nearing completion of their current contract, or in a position to obtain an early release from their current organization.\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle DBA to manage and maintain critical Oracle 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c single instance and RAC databases with Data Guard, hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and on‑premises environments.\nThis role will focus on ongoing administration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle database administration, OS‑level tuning, parameter optimization, security, and backup/recovery in large-scale enterprise production environments, with additional experience in MongoDB.\nExperience with Oracle Exadata (on‑prem or cloud) — including architecture understanding, cell/offload features, smart scans, and performance tuning — will be considered a strong plus.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nOracle Database Administration\nInstall, configure, and maintain Oracle 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c (single‑instance, RAC, Data Guard) and MongoDB in on‑prem and GCP VM environments.\nImplement and manage Oracle Data Guard for HA/DR (switchovers, failovers, broker configuration).\nDevelop and execute backup/recovery strategies (RMAN, MongoDB backups), including DR drills.\nPerform database upgrades, patching, migrations, and security hardening.\nProactively monitor database health and performance, ensuring minimal downtime.\nProvide ongoing post‑migration administration, tuning, and troubleshooting for Oracle databases on GCP Exadata Cloud Service.\nPerformance Tuning & Optimization\nTune Oracle database parameters (SGA/PGA sizing, AMM/ASMM) for optimal performance in GCP environments.\nAnalyze AWR reports, identify bottlenecks, and resolve high memory usage issues.\nOptimize SQL queries, indexes, and partitioning for large datasets.\nApply Linux OS‑level tuning (kernel parameters, HugePages, I/O subsystem, TCP/IP).\nSecurity & Compliance\nEnforce access controls, encryption, and auditing for all databases.\nEnsure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.\nAutomation & Documentation\nAutomate routine tasks using Shell, Python, PL/SQL.\nMaintain accurate operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.\n\nQualifications\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.\nExperience:\n10-12 years as an Oracle DBA in production environments.\nDeep expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and performance tuning.\nExperience managing large databases on Google Cloud Platform.\nMongoDB administration (on‑prem and cloud).\nProven OS‑level tuning skills in Linux.\nExperience with Oracle Exadata (on prem or cloud) — including architecture understanding, cell/offload features, smart scans, and performance tuning in Exadata environments will be a plus\n\nCertifications:\nOracle Certified Professional (OCP) preferred.\nGCP Cloud Architect/Engineer certifications a plus.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong problem‑solving skills, cross‑functional collaboration, excellent communication.\n\nNice-to-Have Skills\nExperience with GoldenGate replication.\nExposure to AWS or Azure.\nFamiliarity with Agile/DevOps and tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet.\nExperience with Active Data Guard.\nUnderstanding of cloud cost optimization strategies.
