Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP TM Technical Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Transportation Management technical development and integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting SAP TM solutions, working closely with functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing transportation solutions aligned with business needs.

SAP TM (Transportation Management) with B4NL on S/4HANA – Lead / Architect Job Description Role Summary The SAP TM with B4NL Lead/Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing Transportation Management and Network Logistics capabilities within S/4HANA Embedded TM. The role ensures optimized planning, execution, carrier collaboration, and freight cost processes across global transportation networks. Key Responsibilities 1. Solution Architecture Design Define end to end architecture for embedded SAP TM with B4NL functionalities (planning, execution, freight units, freight orders, cost, and settlement). Conduct fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, and workshops for multi modal transport, network logistics, routing, and carrier management. Design TM related master data including locations, transportation zones, hierarchies, resources, schedules, lanes, and charge management. Architect planning strategies (VSR Optimizer, manual planning, load consolidation, route determination). 2. Implementation Leadership Lead configuration of: Freight Units, Freight Orders, Booking Orders Planning Profiles Optimizer Settings Charge Management Freight Settlement Transportation Cockpit Planning Layouts Output Management (Forms, Communications) Oversee the design and development of RICEFW objects specific to TM (interfaces, enhancements, reports, algorithms). Guide SIT/UAT planning, cutover, go live, and hypercare. 3. Integration Architecture Architect integrations between TM and: EWM (Warehouse execution, shipping interface) MM SD (Order-to-cash and procure-to-pay flows) FI/CO (Freight settlement, accruals, cost postings) GTS (Compliance customs) Carrier Portals, GPS/Telematics, 3PL systems Design API, IDoc, OData, and middleware integrations for transportation visibility and tracking. 4. Logistics Network B4NL Capabilities Enable B4NL logistics functions like network design, connected freight processes, control tower insights, and digital documentation. Define transportation network models supporting multi node operations, consolidation hubs, and regional distribution centers. Design exception monitoring, event-based tracking, and logistics KPIs. 5. Governance Best Practices Establish design standards, documentation models, and solution governance. Conduct architecture reviews ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture, audit, and IT security. Promote reusable templates, planning profiles, and integration patterns. 6. Stakeholder Team Leadership Lead functional and technical teams across onsite/offshore delivery models. Serve as the primary SME for transportation, logistics planning, and freight processes. Drive executive-level workshops, solution demos, and design sign-offs. Required Skills Experience 8–15+ years of SAP logistics experience with deep expertise in SAP TM (Embedded TM on S/4HANA). Hands on experience with: B4NL Transportation Network Logistics capabilities Transportation Planning Optimization (VSR) Carrier selection tendering Freight charge management settlement Planning Cockpit customizations Strong understanding of end to end logistics processes—O2C, P2P, shipping, warehouse, and freight operations. Cross-functional experience with EWM, SD, MM, FI/CO, PP, and integration tools. Ability to lead large-scale global SAP TM programs. Preferred Qualifications SAP TM on S/4HANA Trained or Certification. Experience with SAP BTP extensions, APIs, or digital freight networks. Exposure to industry verticals with complex logistics operations (Retail, Manufacturing). Knowledge of optimization engines, carrier collaboration platforms, and transportation analytics.
