  • Job Title: Procurement Manager
  • Reporting to: CEO/CFO
  • Minimum Qualification: Engineering graduate
  • Desired Qualification: MBA (Supply Chain)
  • Required experience range: 10 - 12 years.
  • Target industry: Logistics/supply chain
  • Department: Procurement & Sourcing


Role Objective:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations across ATL, ensuring cost efficiency, process standardization, and compliance with procurement policies . The role will focus on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and driving value across procurement categories while maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization

  • Develop sourcing strategies across key categories (transportation, manpower, equipment, fuel, and other spends)
  • Lead commercial negotiations to achieve best value for money
  • Drive rate contracts, benchmarking, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Track and report savings and procurement efficiencies

2. Procurement Execution

  • Manage end-to-end procurement cycle including:
  • Requirement understanding
  • Vendor sourcing
  • RFQ / tendering
  • Commercial negotiations
  • Contracting and PO issuance
  • Ensure procurement activities are aligned with ATL’s procurement policy and approval matrix
  • Drive consistency and standardization across locations

3. Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors in line with company standards
  • Maintain and update a centralized vendor database
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and drive improvements
  • Ensure competitive sourcing through multi-vendor approaches

4. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to procurement policy, approval matrix, and contracting guidelines
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all procurement transactions
  • Support internal and statutory audits by providing required documentation and clarifications
  • Identify and flag any deviations or risks in procurement processes

5. Process Improvement & Digitization

  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes
  • Support implementation of digital tools for:
  • RFQ management
  • Vendor tracking
  • Procurement analytics
  • Enhance visibility and transparency across procurement activities

6. Risk Management

  • Evaluate vendor risks and ensure due diligence during onboarding
  • Ensure fair, transparent, and ethical procurement practices
  • Monitor dependencies on critical vendors and suggest mitigation strategies
