About the Role
Pinkvilla is looking for a dynamic and growth-driven Social Media Head to lead the overall social media vision, strategy, audience growth, and execution across all platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of entertainment, celebrity, lifestyle, and digital culture trends, along with proven experience in scaling social media communities and driving user acquisition through innovative content strategies.
This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, leadership, platform expertise, content innovation, analytics, and execution management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and lead the overall social media strategy for Pinkvilla across platforms including Instagram, X, Snapchat, LinkedIn, reddit, App and emerging platforms.
- Build platform-specific growth strategies to increase:
- Followers and subscribers
- Reach and impressions
- Engagement rates
- App MAUs
- User acquisition and retention
- Identify new opportunities, trends, formats, and platform features to drive audience growth and brand visibility.
- Create short-term and long-term roadmaps for social media expansion and monetization opportunities.
Execution & Team Management
- Oversee end-to-end execution of all social media activities and campaigns.
- Lead and manage the social media team including content planners, editors, designers, video teams, and platform managers.
- Ensure timely publishing, optimization, and performance tracking of all social content.
- Maintain consistency in brand tone, visual identity, and platform positioning.
Audience Acquisition & Engagement
- Drive user acquisition strategies through organic social growth, collaborations, creator partnerships, trend-driven content, and viral formats.
- Build strong audience engagement strategies to improve community interaction and loyalty.
- Analyze audience behavior and optimize content strategies accordingly.
Content & Innovation
- Collaborate closely with editorial, video, branded content, and marketing teams to create high-performing content.
- Conceptualize innovative content formats, campaigns, and social-first IPs.
- Stay updated with social media trends, entertainment news cycles, meme culture, and platform algorithm changes.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor platform performance metrics and generate actionable insights.
- Track KPIs such as engagement, growth, watch time, CTR, shares, saves, and conversion metrics.
- Present monthly growth reports, insights, and strategy recommendations to leadership.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- 12-15 years of experience in social media strategy and audience growth.
- Prior experience in entertainment, media, digital publishing, or creator ecosystems preferred.
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms, analytics tools, and audience behavior.
- Proven track record of scaling social media pages and driving organic growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong creative thinking and trend forecasting abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.
