About the Role
The Global Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing timely preparation, filing, and compliance of tax returns across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on optimizing recoveries and ensuring adherence to US sales tax regulations. This role manages end-to-end tax refund processes, coordinates with in-country finance teams and external tax advisors to collect required data, and provides tax support for cross-border business transactions.
Responsibilities
- Min 4+ years experience in managing the preparation and timely filing of various tax returns for our global accounts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee the end-to-end process for preparing and submitting tax refund applications, ensuring maximum recovery and compliance.
- Coordinate with in-country finance teams and external tax consultants to gather necessary data for compliance and reporting.
- Ensure all global tax operations are compliant with relevant US sales tax compliance regulations.
- Monitor changes in international tax laws and US sales tax regulations, assessing their impact on the company’s operations and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Provide tax support and guidance to various business units on global transactions.
- Ensure tax reporting aligns with IFRS requirements, specifically regarding deferred tax calculations and current tax provisions.
- Prepare tax provisions for monthly and quarterly financial reporting under IFRS.
- Assist in managing tax audits and inquiries from global tax authorities.
