Role Overview

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer , you will be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated AI-powered solutions and GenAI applications. You will work hands-on with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, and cloud-native AI tools to deliver intelligent, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions.

You will play a key role in designing and delivering highly scalable, next-generation AI products within our Agentic Systems. Collaborating closely with AI Architects, Cloud Engineers, and Product Owners, you will build and deploy AI services that transform business processes and enhance user experiences in the healthcare domain.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Delivery:

• Design, develop, and deliver high-performant, scalable, and well-documented AI products and applications.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and innovation in building next-gen agentic systems.
• Identify performance/scalability hotspots in applications and implement effective resolutions.
• Write well-documented code with comprehensive test automation that meets agreed design and quality criteria.
• Design and develop robust RESTful APIs to serve AI models.

Collaboration & Management:

• Collaborate with AI Architects and cross-functional teams to translate solution blueprints into implementable modules.
• Participate actively in technical discussions, design reviews, and sprint planning to ensure smooth agile delivery.
• Support project managers by helping define realistic timelines and technical dependencies.
• Maintain high-quality documentation for AI models, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Contribute to Proofs of Concept (POCs) and internal accelerators to showcase new AI capabilities.
• Evaluate and recommend third-party tools, APIs, and frameworks for AI adoption within our enterprise systems.

Mentorship & People:

• Perform peer code reviews and guide other team members to elevate the team's overall technical competency.
• Support peer learning through internal demos, technical discussions, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Share best practices in AI coding standards, prompt design, and data preparation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven software development experience, including building machine learning or data science solutions.
• AI/GenAI Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of RAG, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic frameworks.
• Programming: Strong proficiency in Python for service development.
• Database & Architecture: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and modern containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud Computing: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including virtualization, hosted services, multi-tenant infrastructures, storage systems, and CDNs.
• Data Engineering: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL technical architectures, infrastructure components, and reporting/analytic tools.
• AI Productivity: Experience utilizing AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Soft Skills: Strong debugging, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently, drive workstreams, and deliver high-quality outcomes. Excellent customer-facing communication and listening skills.

Mandatory Tech Stack

• Programming: Python
• AI/ML Frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, or Anthropic API
• LLM Expertise: Experience with GPT, Claude, Llama, Mistral, or other open-source LLMs
• RAG Frameworks: Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, or Weaviate
• Cloud AI Platforms: AWS Bedrock, Azure Cognitive Services, Google Vertex AI
• APIs & Integration: REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman
• Data & Storage: MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Vector databases
• DevOps/MLOps: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Testing: PyTest, Postman, API-level testing
• Version Control: Git/GitHub, Bitbucket
• Agentic Workflows: Familiarity with LangGraph or CrewAI.
• Optimization: Experience with prompt optimization, model evaluation, and basic knowledge of transformer architecture internals.
• Methodology: Strong Agile delivery experience.

• Healthcare Industry Experience: Highly preferred and considered a strong bonus! Familiarity with healthcare data, compliance, and workflows.
• Data Pipelines: Experience working with modern workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
