Financial Controller(Hybrid) - A Fast-Growing ERP Software Startup, Bengaluru

Job Summary: Our client is looking for a Chartered Accountant with 4+ years of post-qualification experience in a high-growth startup environment. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in financial reporting, taxation (GST & Income Tax), and end-to-end accounting operations, along with hands-on experience in managing treasury and cash flows. A solid understanding of MIS, financial controls, and process improvement is essential, complemented by a proactive and ownership-driven mindset. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with leadership in building and scaling the finance function within a fast-growing startup environment.

The company supports over 10M+ users with solutions spanning billing, inventory, and financial management, while handling large-scale transaction volumes. Their products are designed to be easy to use for non-technical business owners, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Location: Bommanahalli (near Metro station), Bengaluru

Designation: Financial Controller

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Drive the entire accounting & finance function for the organization
• Partner with leadership team on strategic financial planning and business decision-making
• Play a key role in building scalable finance systems, processes, SOPs and reporting structures aligned with the company’s growth journey
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams for financial governance and commercial decision-making
• Ensure timely preparation and presentation of MIS, management reports, and business insights for leadership review
• Lead statutory reporting, month-end close, and accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong governance standards.
• Manage all tax compliances (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.)
• Manage treasury function including cashflow management and banking relationships
• Build and strengthen scalable finance processes to support organizational growth
• Oversee accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and payroll
• Drive financial controls, compliance, and process efficiency across the organization
• Drive automation, process efficiency, and data-driven reporting across finance operations.

Requirement:

• Should have the zest and enthusiasm to work with a progressive start-up and be a part of the growth story
• Prior work experience with a SaaS startup and Big 4 or Big 6 is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good team management and analytical skills
• Prior experience in leading and managing teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with strong ownership mindset
• Experience in working closely with leadership teams and driving strategic financial decision-making

Education : Qualified CA

Experience : 4+ years of post qualification work experience in a growth start-up

Working days : Monday to Friday (3 days from office)
