Purchase Specialist (Casting / Forging)

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Purchase to manage procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, as well as New Product Development (NPD) projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in sourcing and procurement of castings and forgings , along with proven vendor management and negotiation skills.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nManage procurement of direct and indirect materials to support business operations\nHandle sourcing and purchasing activities for NPD projects\nDevelop & maintain supplier relationships for castings, forgings, & other critical commodities\nNegotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, & commercial terms with vendors\nMonitor supplier performance and ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met\nCoordinate with engineering, production, quality, & planning teams to ensure timely procurement\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement best practices\nEnsure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures\n\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\nMinimu m 10 years of experien ce in procurement/purchasing\nStrong knowledge o f castings and forgings procurement\nExperience i n direct, indirect, and NPD procurement\nExcellent vendor development, negotiation, and sourcing skills\nStrong analytical, communication, and coordination abilities\nProficiency in ERP systems and MS Office\n\nPreferred Requirement\nThe candidate should be able to speak Tamil fluently\nThe candidate should be from South India\nExperience in the manufacturing/engineering industries will be preferred
