Job Title: Oracle HCM Technical Consultant


Location: Bangalore

Experience: 8–10 Years


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Consultant with 8–10 years of implementation and support expertise. The ideal candidate should have strong technical capabilities along with hands-on functional configuration knowledge in Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Core HR . This role requires strong solutioning skills, stakeholder communication, and the ability to coordinate with offshore teams while delivering high-quality HCM solutions.


Key Responsibilities


1. Technical Design & Development

  • Lead end-to-end technical design and development for Oracle HCM Cloud implementations.
  • Develop and support:
  • HCM Extracts
  • Fast Formulas (Compensation, Absence, Benefits, Payroll)
  • BI Publisher / OTBI reports
  • HDL / HSDL data loads
  • OIC Integrations (REST/SOAP)
  • Own complex conversion, interface, and integration designs.


2. Functional Configuration (Strong Requirement)

  • Configure and support:
  • Oracle Compensation (Workforce compensation, Total Compensation Plan, Plan setup, Currency, Worksheet, Element, Payroll integration)
  • Oracle Benefits (Plan, Options, Rate, Element)
  • Absence Management (plans, accruals, formulas, eligibility)
  • Core HR (work structures, jobs, locations, grades, actions, flexfields)
  • Participate in end-to-end solution design across Compensation, Payroll, Absence, and Core HR.
  • Work closely with HR and payroll business teams to validate configurations.


3. Implementation & Support

  • Conduct technical and functional fit–gap analysis.
  • Assist functional consultants with design workshops and system walkthroughs.
  • Troubleshoot configuration and technical issues across modules.


4. Patch, Upgrade & Release Management

  • Lead quarterly patch testing for Compensation, Payroll, Absence, and Core HR.
  • Validate functional configurations and technical components post-update.
  • Ensure seamless functioning of integrations, extracts, and formulas.


5. Client & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Work directly with business stakeholders, PMs, and HR leadership.
  • Translate business needs into robust technical and functional solutions.
  • Provide onshore leadership and coordinate with offshore delivery teams.


6. Documentation & Quality Assurance

  • Prepare technical design docs (MD50/70), functional configs, and mapping documents.
  • Conduct reviews, validate solution quality, and ensure best practices.


Required Skills & Expertise


Technical Must-Haves

  • 8–10 years Oracle HCM Cloud technical experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • HCM Extracts
  • BI Publisher / OTBI
  • Fast Formulas (Compensation/Payroll/Absence)
  • HDL / HSDL
  • Strong SQL / PLSQL and XML skills.


Functional Must-Haves

  • Hands-on configuration experience in:
  • Oracle Compensation
  • Absence Management
  • Core HR
  • Understanding of payroll processing cycles, costing, and calculation logic.
  • Absence plan design, accrual calculations, eligibility, and formula setup.
  • Strong knowledge of Core HR structures, workflows, and business processes.


Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently.
  • Proven experience in offshore delivery.


Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.


Preferred Certifications

  • Oracle Cloud HCM Implementation Certification (Workforce Compensation highly preferred)
