Job Summary\nThe Godown Incharge is responsible for managing all warehouse (godown) operations, including receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control, record maintenance, and dispatch of materials. The role ensures proper stock management, accuracy of records, and timely availability of materials.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise day-to-day godown operations.\nReceive and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.\nMaintain accurate stock records and inventory registers.\nEnsure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials.\nMonitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.\nCoordinate material dispatches to sites and customers as per requirements.\nConduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.\nPrepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), and stock reports.\nEnsure cleanliness, safety, and security of the godown.\nManage loading and unloading activities.\nCoordinate with procurement, accounts, and site teams regarding material movement.\nMaintain records in Excel/ERP software as applicable.\nLead and supervise warehouse helpers and loaders.\nRequirements\nGraduate or Diploma holder preferred.\n2–5 years of experience in warehouse/godown/store management.\nKnowledge of inventory management and stock control.\nProficiency in MS Excel and basic computer operations.\nGood organizational and communication skills.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.\nKnowledge of ERP/Inventory Management Software.\nStrong attention to detail and documentation.\nReporting To\nStores Manager / Operations Manager / Admin Head\nSalary\nAs per company standards and candidate experience.\nNote: Candidate should be willing to travel occasionally for stock verification at different locations/sites if required.
