Role Overview
We are looking an experienced Mid-Cap Equity Research Analyst to join our Institutional Equity Research team. The role involves covering listed mid-cap companies, conducting fundamental research, building financial models, publishing research reports, and providing actionable investment recommendations to institutional clients.
The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in sell-side equity research, excellent financial analysis skills, and experience interacting with institutional investors and company management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coverage of mid-cap companies across assigned sectors.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation models.
- Publish initiation reports, earnings updates, sector reports, and thematic research notes.
- Generate differentiated investment ideas and stock recommendations for institutional investors.
- Conduct management meetings, earnings call reviews, channel checks, and industry interactions.
- Analyze company financial statements, business models, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
- Present investment recommendations and market views to domestic and foreign institutional investors.
- Collaborate closely with institutional sales teams to support client engagement and business development.
- Participate in investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and corporate access events.
- Monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and sector developments impacting covered companies.
Required Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in Sell-Side Institutional Equity Research.
- Strong experience covering Indian listed mid-cap companies.
- Demonstrated track record of publishing high-quality research and generating actionable investment ideas.
- Experience interacting with institutional investors, fund managers, and company management teams.
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, financial statement analysis, and capital markets.
Qualifications
- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification.
