Job Description – Unit Head / Plant Head (Re-Bonded Foaming)\nPosition: Unit Head / Plant Head – Re-Bonded Foaming\nLocation: Silvassa, Hosur, and Kelamangalam, Tamil Nadu.\nIndustry Preference: Re-Bonded Foam, PU Foam, Mattress, Textile Manufacturing\nExperience: 12–15+ Years\n\nJob Summary\nWe are looking for experienced and dynamic Unit Head to lead the complete operations of its Re-Bonded Foaming manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for production, quality, maintenance, safety, cost control, manpower management, and overall plant performance. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to drive operational excellence while achieving business objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction & Operations\nLead end-to-end plant operations and ensure achievement of production targets.\nDevelop and implement production plans to maximize capacity utilization.\nMonitor productivity, efficiency, and process performance.\nEnsure timely execution of production schedules and customer commitments.\nQuality Management\nEnsure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.\nMonitor rejection, wastage, and rework levels and implement corrective actions.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.\nMaintenance & Engineering\nEnsure preventive and predictive maintenance of all machinery and equipment.\nMinimize machine breakdowns and downtime.\nCoordinate with engineering teams for process improvements and equipment upgrades.\nManpower Management\nLead and manage plant workforce, supervisors, and department heads.\nPlan manpower deployment and shift schedules.\nBuild a performance-driven culture through training and development initiatives.\nSafety & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.\nMaintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.\nConduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures.\nCost Control & Process Improvement\nDrive cost optimization initiatives across production and operations.\nImprove productivity, reduce wastage, and enhance operational efficiency.\nImplement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.\nCoordination & Reporting\nCoordinate with Procurement, Stores, Dispatch, HR, Finance, and Management teams.\nPrepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly MIS and performance reports.\nReview KPIs and implement action plans to achieve organizational goals.\nKey Skills & Competencies\nStrong leadership and team management abilities.\nExpertise in manufacturing plant operations.\nProduction planning and inventory management.\nProcess optimization and cost reduction.\nQuality systems and maintenance management.\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nStrong analytical and reporting capabilities.\nPreferred Industry Background\nRe-Bonded Foam Manufacturing\nPU Foam Manufacturing\nMattress Manufacturing\nTextile Manufacturing\nOther Continuous Process Manufacturing Industries\nEducational Qualification\nBachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Textile, or related Engineering discipline.\nMBA (Operations) will be an added advantage.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nProduction Target Achievement\nCapacity Utilization\nOEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)\nWastage & Rejection Control\nMachine Downtime Reduction\nQuality Compliance\nSafety Performance\nCost Reduction Initiatives\nEmployee Productivity\nOn-Time Delivery Performance
