About the team
The Ninjamandi team is a large and diverse team which is trying to solve the problems in the Agri ecosystem with a Platform approach. This growth engine will fuel the next phase of Ninjacart’s journey in cementing its place in the industry as an innovation and execution leader. This is a team which is a mix of Business, Execution, Category, Product, Analytics and brings a mix of speed and innovation to solve tough problem statements.
Responsibilities
- Directly manages a cluster of 50-100 vendors across 4-5 markets within 50-100 kms from base location city.
- Handling the role of Key Account Management with all the destination market Vendors.
- Conduct thorough research of market and develop database of vendors; understand the current grades of quality being sold of various categories and trade routes (i.e. which source markets are currently supplying which categories)
- Develop strategy for geography assigned in consultation with Zonal Head/Regional Head.
- Develop forecasts for all categories based on trends.
- Perform initial vendor assessment through market intelligence and assign rating.
- Onboard vendors on to platform
- Explain benefits of buying on platform to vendors and process
- Regular follow up with all vendors to meet transaction and revenue targets.
- On time Collection of Cash from the Destination Market Vendors
- Coordinate with supply team to add listing from established trade routes and for the quality required in the market
- Supply planning for the area in coordination with the supply team.
- Monitor quality when deliveries happen and mitigate any quality concerns raised by connecting source and destination vendors
- Dispute resolution as per company defined process. Ensure vendor claims are settled in time by proper scrutiny and on field verification.
- Explore new markets and new ideas to grow business
- Work very closely with Category Trade Marketing teams in management of schemes/promotions/contests being run to promote the platform.
- Plan for new platform product launches based on thorough understanding of category and objectives for the products to be launched.
- Ensuring Hygiene in the Business Operations.

- 5+ years of strong sales experience from FMCG / Consumer durables / Telecom Industry/Fintech/Banking/Agriculture and allied industries
- Solid understanding of sales/trading fundamentals
- Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Access is desirable
- Team Handling Experience is mandatory, especially Field sales team Proven people manager and team builder with references
- Good communication & presentations skills, ability to motivate the team to achieve targets, fostering a high level of team growth and contribution
