Syntax employees more than 2,000 colleagues worldwide, and partners with Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM and other global technology leaders.\nPosition Summary\nSyntax is currently seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Analyst.\nThe Senior OCI Analyst will support mission critical workload on OCI as well as onboarding new customers to OCI.\nWorks closely within Syntax and customers to provision and manage resources in OCI.\nThe ideal candidate will be a hands-on self-starter contributor who has a good cloud computing background, as well as experience in performing implementations and orchestration of the complete array of OCI infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings.\nResponsibilities\nLead and possess self-drive ability in onboarding process to deliver proposed solutions and customer expectations.\nWork with Project Managers and customers to understand customer requirements, technical designs, and infrastructure builds, providing inputs required to successfully automate deployments.\nAdhere to technical standards and best practices for Syntax’s OCI IaaS solutions, collaborating with OCI and other teams’ colleagues within Syntax.\nDraft architecture design diagrams, document onboarding runbooks and creating standard operating procedures.\nUnderstand and Perform operations as per custom requirements. Work closely with Syntax teams to integrate Syntax solutions with OCI including identity and access management,\nprivileged access management, privileged password management, logging, and vulnerability management.\nResponsible for using ticketing system to track and address incoming client needs to provide ongoing, on-demand support for clients (including setup/configuration, ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting issues).\nAct as Level II escalation for Priority 1 issues related to OCI, participating in the root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes, ensuring any lessons learned are contributed for future architecture standards and related designs.\nAct as a technical point of contact to onboard and manage customer workload in OCI\nComplete necessary OCI trainings and earn certifications, draft blog posts.\nTechnical Qualifications\nStrong background and understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and technology as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the cloud with at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably OCI certified.\nCombined experience spanning at least two domains, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations.\nComprehensive expert level knowledge on OCI Native services like OCI DNS, Zones & Email Delivery and experience in managing SaaS based Database offerings like DBCS, ATP & ExaCS.\nGood knowledge of Microsoft AD, administering Domain Controllers, configuring relay servers, SFTP, SMTP and administering Windows & Linux operating systems.\nProven experience working in an OCI environment, including various architecture best practices as they related to Oracle ERP, Databases, and Middleware.\nExperience with large scale application and database migrations into OCI.\nExperience in deploying multi-tier applications on OCI IaaS and PaaS services, including Database, Compute, Storage, Backup, Network, Security, and Load Balancing, including a demonstrated ability to leverage those services to provide better application performance, security, and availability.\nProven experience in managing client’s Oracle workloads and technology landscape for OCI suitability, Including OCI Network and Security design for complex architectures to support high availability and disaster recovery requirements.\nKnowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM is a plus.\nExperience in implementation and monitoring of OCI security, including Ingress/Egress Rules, Security Lists, IAM Policies, etc.\nDeep understanding of OCI networking, including FastConnect, VPN, and Local and Remote Peering, as well as experience with third-party network devices in an OCI architecture.\nHaving knowledge with Python and Terraform for the purpose of scripting repeatable tasks, including provisioning, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery is an added benefit.\nProvide on-call support during off business hours and weekends on a rotational basis.\nLearn new technologies, build knowledge by taking OCI trainings, earn certifications & publish blog posts.\nHave good experience in shell scripting and/or experience in any of the programming languages like Python, open to learning DevOps tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Salt/Ansible, administering containers using Docker or OKE is a plus.\nInterpersonal Qualifications\nExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills.\nAbility to work in a dynamic, global environment with an open mind and collaborative spirit.\nDemonstrate interpersonal skills to interface well with clients and partners at all levels
