Role: HCI Administrator

Location: Chennai

Experience: 7-12 years

• 6–10 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure operations , with 3+ years hands ‑on on VMware vSphere & vSAN .
• Strong expertise in vSAN (ESA/OSA) , SPBM policies, resync operations, and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with Skyline Health, Aria Operations (vROps), vSphere HA/DRS .
• Knowledge of fault domains, stretched clusters, witness architecture , and resiliency models.
• Experience with vSAN encryption (data‑at‑rest / in‑transit), KMS / Native Key Provider / TPM.
• Working knowledge of vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) , firmware, drivers, and HCL compliance.
• Strong ITSM knowledge covering Incident, Problem, and Change Management .
• Ability to mentor L1/L2 engineers and maintain operational runbooks.

• Lead L2 incident triage and resolution for vSAN and vSphere infrastructure aligning with SLA/MTTR.
• Monitor and maintain vSAN cluster health, performance, capacity , and resync activities.
• Design and manage SPBM storage policies (FTT, RAID levels, IOPS, space efficiency).
• Operate and optimize vSphere HA & DRS , admission control, VM‑host affinity rules.
• Maintain fault domains and stretched clusters , validating resiliency and recovery behavior.
• Manage encryption lifecycle , keys, and secure access controls.
• Ensure lifecycle compliance using vLCM, OEM firmware integration, and HCL validation.
• Plan and execute patching and change activities with rollback and validation.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base , and guide junior engineers.
