Job Description

Responsibilities:\nDefine specifications and requirements for product hardware.\nConduct hardware design and firmware control reviews with a focus on high-level system integration.\nMonitor development and create test plans to verify electrical, environmental, and functional compliance.\nPerform FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to evaluate reliability and ensure there are no safety or liability concerns related to the product.\nCoordinate and track product development milestones with the project manager and cross-functional teams (CFTs).\nOversee DFX (Design for Excellence) updates, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and product life cycle management.\nMentor the team on design to ensure that established technical standards are adhered to during product development.\nResearch new development concepts to guide future product innovation.\nIdentify cost-competitive technological alternatives that are suitable for scaling up.\nValidate design concepts through a combination of circuit simulations and prototyping.\nPrepare documentation, including bills of materials, circuit diagrams, simulations, design-related documents, and FMEAs.\n\nDesired Qualifications and Skills:\nB.E or Master’s degree in Power Electronics with 8-13 years of experience.\nStrong understanding of closed-loop control for power converters and compensator design.\nExperience with high-speed or high-power semiconductor devices, specifically power converter designs over 100kVA and in medium voltage applications.\nSolid technical knowledge, competence, and system-level design experience.\nProven track record of managing multiple power electronics projects involving analog and digital electronics as well as control circuitry.\nExperience in EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) filter design and product qualification/compliance testing.\nFamiliarity with circuit simulation tools like SIMULINK.\nSkills in derating, FMEA, and reliability analysis.\nExcellent circuit debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.\nExperience in writing technical documents such as hardware requirements, product design specifications, test specifications, and board-level design details.\nStrong knowledge of component selection and system integration.\nGood communication skills in English, both spoken and written.\nExperience mentoring small teams with strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to work effectively in an agile product development model.\n\nWhat can you expect:\nExperience with the latest technologies in power converters for applications involving grid connections and renewable energy.\nA supportive environment that enhances your design and debugging skills.\nCollaboration with a team of motivated and enthusiastic engineers.
