Role Overview

We are hiring a Fund Manager for a growing AMC based in Mumbai. The role involves managing equity portfolios, generating investment ideas, tracking markets and sectors, and driving portfolio performance in line with the fund’s investment objectives.

The ideal candidate should have strong buy-side experience, a proven investment track record, and the ability to independently manage portfolios while working closely with research analysts and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor equity portfolios in line with investment strategy and risk parameters
• Generate high-conviction investment ideas through fundamental research
• Conduct sector and company analysis across listed equities
• Make buy/sell/hold recommendations based on market trends and company performance
• Review financial models, research reports, and valuation analysis
• Track portfolio performance and benchmark comparisons
• Participate in company meetings, earnings calls, and industry interactions
• Work closely with the research team to identify emerging opportunities
• Monitor macroeconomic trends, market developments, and sectoral shifts
• Ensure portfolio allocation aligns with investment mandates and compliance guidelines

Candidate Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Equity Research / Portfolio Management / Fund Management
• Prior buy-side experience with AMC, PMS, AIF, or investment firms preferred
• Strong understanding of capital markets, valuation methodologies, and portfolio construction
• Proven ability to generate investment ideas and manage portfolios
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• CFA / CA / MBA (Finance) preferred
