Role Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Engineer (Hull Structures) to

join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in ship structural

design, finite element analysis, and be capable of working collaboratively across

functions to deliver innovative and robust engineering solutions.


Key Responsibilities


• Lead and execute structural design and analysis of ship hull structures.

• Perform detailed finite element analysis (FEA) for structural integrity, fatigue, and

strength assessment.

• Ensure compliance with classification society rules, statutory requirements, and

company standards.

• Review and validate design calculations, drawings, and technical documents.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including hydrodynamics,

outfitting, piping, and production departments.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in the team.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of design methodologies, processes, and best practices.


Required Skills & Competencies


• Strong technical expertise in ship structural design and analysis.

• Advanced proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and structural

assessment methods.

• Sound knowledge of classification society rules, ship design standards, and

regulatory requirements.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications


• B.Tech /M.Tech in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in ship structural design and FEA.

• Exposure to software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, HyperMesh, or similar structural

analysis tools.

• Prior experience in shipyard or marine/offshore engineering projects will be an added

advantage.
