The Student Counsellor will guide prospective students and families through the process of selecting appropriate courses, institutions, and destinations in the UK and Europe.
Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, assessing academic profiles, explaining admission requirements, and outlining timelines and application steps. The role involves maintaining updated knowledge of universities, programs, scholarships, and visa processes, as well as coordinating with internal teams to support applications and documentation. The Student Counsellor will also respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings, provide high-quality customer service, and participate in events, seminars, and outreach activities to promote VIDYA.PORTAL’s services.\nQualifications\nStrong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to help learners choose suitable courses, institutions, and study destinations.\nExcellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, with the ability to explain complex processes in a simple, supportive manner.\nProven Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and maintaining positive long-term relationships with students and families.\nUnderstanding of the Education sector, particularly higher education systems in the UK and Europe, admission processes, and academic pathways.\nBachelor’s degree in any field\nPrior experience in overseas education counseling, student advisory roles, or admissions is mandatory\nAbility to work on-site in Kochi, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet application and intake deadlines.\nProficiency with basic office software and CRM or student management systems; comfort with online counseling tools and virtual meetings.
