JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Citrix Engineer (L3) to provide advanced technical support, administration, and engineering services for Citrix environments within a 24x7 managed services organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and supporting infrastructure technologies.
The Senior Citrix Engineer will act as the highest level of technical escalation for complex incidents, problem management activities, infrastructure upgrades, and service improvement initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of Citrix services.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES OVERVIEW:
Technical and Operational Responsibilities
Provide Level 3 support and technical escalation for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments.
Administer and support Citrix Cloud, Citrix DaaS, StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, Citrix Director, Citrix Studio, and Workspace Environment Management (WEM).
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Citrix infrastructure, application delivery, profile management, and user experience issues.
Manage Machine Creation Services (MCS), Provisioning Services (PVS), and image lifecycle management.
Administer and support Citrix ADC (NetScaler), including load balancing, Gateway, SSL certificates, authentication, and traffic management policies.
Perform Citrix platform upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
Analyze and resolve performance issues impacting Citrix sessions, VDAs, applications, and user experience.
Support profile management technologies including Citrix Profile Management, FSLogix, and Microsoft roaming profiles.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement long-term corrective actions.
Implement and maintain Citrix security best practices, hardening standards, and compliance requirements.
Support vulnerability remediation activities and ensure timely resolution of security findings.
Collaborate with Windows, VMware, Azure, Networking, Security, Storage, and Identity Management teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Citrix SDKs to improve operational efficiency.
Support Citrix monitoring and reporting tools, including Citrix Director, ControlUp, eG Enterprise, and other enterprise monitoring platforms.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, and architecture diagrams.
Review and validate technical designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
Support cloud transformation initiatives involving Citrix DaaS, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and hybrid cloud architectures.
