This role is a hands-on practitioner responsible for independently creating and completing Functional Safety (ISO 26262) work products. The Lead Engineer serves as the primary liaison between the OEM client and the offshore team in India, ensuring quality output and on-time delivery in full compliance with the client's engineering processes.

Work Product Creation
- Create and maintain the following work products in accordance with ISO 26262 and the client's process:
- Item Definition / Safety Plan / Impact Analysis/HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment)/Functional Safety Concept (FSC)
- Test Strategy and Test Specifications for Verification & Validation (ASIL-based)
- Structuring and defending Safety Case
Customer Process Compliance
- Submit work products to the client's Verification Review and Confirmation Review processes; respond to review findings and bring work products to completion
- Engage in technical discussions with client engineers on work product quality and consistency, and obtain approval
Offshore Team Technical Management
- Provide offshore members (India) with the necessary information and instructions to create work products
- Review work products submitted by the offshore team and refine them to the quality level required by the client's process
- Manage schedules to prevent delays to the client
Supplier Interface
- Participate in FSR (Functional Safety Requirements) discussions with suppliers and confirm implementation and verification status
- Review supplier-submitted functional safety work products (e.g., DIA) and provide appropriate feedback

- Hands-on experience creating ISO 26262 work products (HARA, FSC, Safety Case, etc.)
- Experience in Functional Safety Engineering and management
- Practical knowledge of Functional Safety methodologies: HARA, FTA, DFA, FMEA
- Experience responding to OEM Verification Review and Confirmation Review processes
- Experience in structuring and defending Safety Case
- Automotive industry experience (OEM or Tier 1 supplier)
[Team & Communication]
- Practical experience working in a mixed on-site/offshore team
- Experience in giving work instructions to offshore members and reviewing deliverables
- Japanese skill: Business level (JLPT N2 level or above)
- English skill: Business level (TOEIC score more than 700 (recommended) )
