Description:

Platform Architecture & Design
• Define and own the overall ServiceNow technical architecture
• Design scalable and reusable solutions across multiple ServiceNow modules
• Ensure alignment with ServiceNow OOTB capabilities and architectural best practices
• Review and approve technical designs, customizations, and integrations
• Provide architectural guidance during solution planning and implementation

Technical Leadership
• Act as the technical authority across ServiceNow projects
• Mentor developers, administrators, and consultants
• Enforce coding standards, design patterns, and governance frameworks
• Resolve complex technical issues and performance challenges

ServiceNow Development & Configuration
• Oversee advanced configurations including:
o Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions
o Flow Designer and Workflow automation
o Scoped applications and custom apps
• Minimize customizations and drive configuration first approach
• Ensure upgrade safe and maintainable solutions

Integrations & Ecosystem
• Design and govern integrations using:
o REST / SOAP APIs
o IntegrationHub
o MID Server architecture
• Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise tools (HR, ERP, Monitoring, Cloud, IAM)
• Ensure secure data exchange and error handling patterns

Performance, Security & Scalability
• Ensure platform performance optimization and tuning
• Implement role based access, ACLs, and data security controls
• Design for HA, DR, and scalability in large enterprise environments
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and audit standards

Governance & Best Practices
• Establish platform governance, technical standards, and guardrails
• Support CMMI / ITIL / ITAM / ITSM maturity initiatives
• Ensure audit readiness and traceability
• Support release management, upgrade planning, and testing strategy

Stakeholder & Client Engagement
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and leadership
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support pre sales activities, solution demos, and technical proposals
• Communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non technical audiences
Required Skills & Experience

ServiceNow Expertise
• 8+ years of ServiceNow experience, including architect level responsibilities
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture
• Hands on experience with multiple modules such as:
o ITSM, ITOM, ITAM (HAM/SAM), HRSD, CSM, SecOps
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of:
o CMDB & CSDM
o Discovery and Service Mapping
o Performance Analytics
o IntegrationHub
• JavaScript expertise within ServiceNow
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) – preferred
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and enterprise integrations
Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred)
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (Required)
• Certified Implementation Specialist (one or more modules)
• Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Highly Preferred
• ITIL 4 Foundation (Preferred)
• Cloud or enterprise architecture certifications (Nice to have)
