This role is for you if you have the below

Educational qualifications

Minimum Master Degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance

Mandatory technical & functional skills

Strong tax accounting skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
Basic knowledge in Indian direct and indirect taxation.

Preferred technical & functional skills

Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and to work proactively with minimal instruction.
Prioritization and time management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to adapt quickly to use new technologies.

Roles & responsibilities

We are recruiting for the Associate 1 position in the Canada Tax for US GMS Tax team with subject matter expertise in US 1040, 1040NR and foreign reporting forms. Working as Associate 1 in this team, your responsibilities will include:

Prepare tax returns, and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate employees
Coordinating with Onshore Engagement teams on missing information.
Provide day to day support to Associate 2's, Senior Associates and Assistant Managers to assist with the delivery of client deliverables
Assist in conducting tax research relating to expatriate employees
Research tax theory and positions, and applying them to specific client needs
Draft client correspondence documents (emails, letters, reports etc.) at relevant points throughout the compliance cycle.
Demonstrates strong commitment to personal learning and development; acts as a brand ambassador to help attract top talent.
