Job Purpose: To perform Electrical maintenance activities of ISBL and OBSL areas for maintaining effective reliability of electrical equipment. Ensure effective maintenance, condition monitoring and availability of critical spares. Ensure preparation of Shutdown related activities. Coordination and execution of MOC/DPI related to Electricals. To Ensure LOTO, Permit System, PPEs, and all Safety norms being followed religiously. Take part in PSSR, Hazop studies etc. pertaining to area.
Education Qualification & Experience
Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Equivalent with 5-10 years experience.
Quality Management System
- Conduct condition monitoring and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems.
- Issue/Receive safety work permits for planned maintenance and ensure prompt response to breakdowns.
- Provide inputs and prepare preliminary Failure Analysis (FA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
- Utilize SAP for maintenance tracking and spare part management.
- Establish and manage complaint resolution systems for internal stakeholders.
Maintenance Systems & Practices
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs).
- Ensure availability of consumables and critical spares for electrical equipment during shifts.
- Support commissioning and shutdown activities to ensure timely execution.
Organizational Development & Learning
- Identify strengths and development areas for self; assess training needs.
- Assign tasks based on individual technician capabilities and provide on-the-job training.
- Conduct toolbox talks and one-point lessons for contractor technicians.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and align team goals with organizational objectives.
Systems, Policies & Procedures
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols during electrical operations.
- Maintain 100% housekeeping standards in electrical areas.
- Ensure compliance with RIMS
- Statutory compliances in the respective area
HSEF (Health, Safety, Environment & Fire)
- Maintain safe working conditions for all personnel in the electrical department.
- Exercise authority to stop unsafe work practices.
- Coordinate safety training for self and contract staff with the planning team.
- Enforce PPE compliance among shift staff.
- Conduct risk assessments for all shift activities.
- Give Toolbox Talk specific to work to be performed
Environment & Energy Management System (EnMS)
- Ensure awareness and adherence to ISO 50001:2018 standards.
- Understand and promote energy policy, significant energy uses, and energy objectives.
Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Apply knowledge of PSM elements including Mechanical Integrity and Asset Reliability.
- Plan and conduct asset criticality assessments.
- Implement inspection recommendations.
- Lead or participate in RCA, process near-miss investigations, and incident reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Contractor Safety Management protocols.
- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
- Verify interlocks and trips are configured per Cause & Effect diagrams.
- Maintain updated equipment datasheets, failure records, and operational history.
