Work Mode – WFO/Chennai
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage the company underwriting department and coordinate origination vertical
• Manage the execution of underwriting, portfolio analysis and account- base decision making in accordance with established guidelines and processes.
• Review of government sponsor (FHA, VA, USDA) loans to ensure adherence to specific policies and procedures.
• Direct all underwriting activities in the origination of home equity loans and lines of credit.
• Train all staff members on successful sales techniques to help facilitate consumer, conventional, FHA, commercial mortgage loans.
• Analyze appraisals for acceptability to FNMA standards.
• Manage the execution of underwriting, portfolio analysis and account- base decision making in accordance with established guidelines and processes.
• Prepare and present monthly ALCO indirect lending reports.
• Prepare various reports including month-end pipeline and activity reports for ALCO meetings, executive meetings and board reports.
• Analyze conventional refinance and purchase transactions through DU/LP ensuring compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards.
We’ll be looking for the following characteristics during our search for this role:
• 10+ years of experience in underwriting FNMA, FHLMC, FHA (Conventional/Non-Conventional Loans)
• Need to have minimum 6 Years Management experience in papers
• Should have through understanding on 4C,S in UW
• Prior experience managing mid to large size team
• Knowledge of agency underwriting product guidelines
• Familiarity with Desktop Underwriter (DU) & Loan Product Advisor (LPA)
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to Solve problem Independently •
Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment

• Decision Making and Analytic skill Qualification & Experience
• Educational qualification and years of experience required in any specific domain/skill for the role • Basic Degree completion (15 years of education)
• Good written and oral communications skills in English
• US Mortgage Experience in Origination with UW Experience
