Pre sales SD-WAN

Role: Pre-Sales

Experience: 5-8 years

Location: Chennai

Mandatory: SDWAN Overlay/Underlay, Hybrid WAN, Internet/MPLS mix)

Strong Knowledge in Solution Design & Architecture

• Design end-to-end SD-WAN solutions (Overlay/Underlay, Hybrid WAN, Internet/MPLS mix)
• Architect secure connectivity solutions integrating SD-WAN with SASE, Firewall, ZTNA
• Perform network assessments and propose optimized WAN transformation strategies

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with sales teams in customer meetings, RFPs/RFIs, and technical discussions

Deliver solution presentations, demos, and POCs

Translate business requirements into technical solutions

Identify Global / Local vendor partners to build SD-WAN product capabilities aligning with functional attributes

Will be completely in charge of procurement (pre/ post testing )product capabilities and functionalities

Build proof of concept (POC) to demonstrate platform capabilities and provide necessary assistance to prospects during product evaluation.

Be the go-to product expert for the sales team, providing guidance and assistance as needed.

Build and maintain relationships with prospects and become their technical advocate.

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in competitor landscape and provide insights and recommendations to prospects and team members

Influence product roadmap by gathering the critical feedback from prospects and turn them into product requests.

Own product vision, multi year roadmap, and investment planning

Translate regulatory updates, business priorities, and operational insights into product strategy

Lead and mentor Product Managers; drive execution consistency and team development

Champion chart retrieval workflows and user needs across India delivery sites

Partner with Development ,engineering, design, analytics, and operations for integrated delivery

Ensure transparent communication, dependency management, and expectation-setting

Influence decisions using product metrics and operational data

5+ years of experience in product management or a closely related role in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.

Proven track record of launching customer-facing features that drive adoption, usage, and satisfaction.

Strong technical understanding of APIs, integrations, and identity protocols (e.g., SSO, SAML).

Ability to gather and synthesize customer input and translate it into well-scoped, high-impact product work.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing roadmaps across multiple releases.

Technical Skills :

Must be familiar with - VLAN / VTP / STP / VSS / VDC / VPC.

Must have sound knowledge in stack configuration / trouble shooting.

Must be familiar with - OSPF / EIGRP / BGP / PBR / HSRP / ACL.

Hands on experience with IOS/SUP upgradation 5K/7K/9K/4500/6500/ASR/FTD/FMC/SDWAN/ISE/DNAC/Wireless controller.

Should have knowledge about SDWAN, ISE/ DNAC/ ACI/Wireless

Troubleshooting of complex LAN/WAN infrastructure, Conducting root cause analysis on Network Incident

Troubleshooting IP link related issues like link failure, config mismatch, latency, packet drops.

Expertise in implementing L2 / L3 tunnelling technologies including VLAN’s, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP.

Good knowledge of IP Addressing, Subnetting, ARP, OSI and TCP/IP models.

Expertise in implementing routing protocols RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS and BGP.

Configuring and Troubleshooting Route Redistribution between Static, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF BGP protocols.

Experience in Configuration and Support of LAN protocols on Cisco Switches such as (Layer2, 3 Multi-Layer).

Experience with designing, deploying, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, Ether-channel, IP Routing Protocols - (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP BGP), ACLs, NAT, VLAN, STP, VTP, HSRP.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience).

CCNP or equivalent certification.

Certifications relevant to the services provided (certifications carry additional weightage on a candidate’s qualification for the role).

Network, Cloud, Application and End point Security solutions such as SDWAN, NG Firewall, Application Delivery, SASE, Web Application Firewall, ZTNA, EDR/XDR etc.
