Associate Director – Legal & Compliance\nHyderabad | 12–15 Years PQE\n\nA leading global investment and technology-driven firm is seeking an experienced legal professional to join its Legal & Compliance team in Hyderabad.\nThis is a senior leadership opportunity for a lawyer with strong experience in commercial contracting, trading documentation, and team management, looking to play a strategic role within a global legal function.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n• Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing legal team supporting global stakeholders.\n• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, trading documentation (ISDA, GMRA, repos, confirms), NDAs, and vendor contracts.\n• Provide strategic legal support on intellectual property, commercial, and compliance-related matters.\n• Partner with stakeholders across international offices to manage legal risks and drive business objectives.\n• Contribute to departmental initiatives, process improvements, and the evolution of the firm's global legal capabilities.\n• Support talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts while fostering team growth and engagement.\n\nRequirements:\n• LL.B. from a recognized institution with 12–15 years of relevant post-qualification experience.\n• Proven experience leading and managing sizeable legal teams.\n• Strong background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and trading agreements.\n• Experience gained in a combination of leading law firms and multinational organizations is preferred.\n• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n• Exposure to data privacy matters and financial services documentation will be advantageous.\n\nIdeal Background:\nWe are particularly interested in speaking with law firm and/or in-house professionals with experience across commercial contracts, intellectual property, technology transactions, financial services, or trading documentation.
