Position: SAP Basis Senior Consultant\nExperience: 5–7 Years\nLocation: Pune / Remote\nJob Summary:\nSAP Pune DC is hiring a skilled SAP Basis Senior Consultant to manage and guide a team of 10–15 L1 & L2 consultants across shifts. The role involves end-to-end SAP Basis administration, team leadership, and operational excellence in a 24x7 environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and manage shift operations for a team of 10–15 SAP Basis consultants\nDeliver SAP Basis support across S/4HANA, Business Suite, EWM , and associated landscapes\nPerform system monitoring, performance tuning, transport management (ChaRM/CTMS)\nHandle data growth analysis, security updates, deletion/partitioning, system refreshes, and upgrades\nManage SAP HANA , including performance optimization and troubleshooting across ERP, BW, BW4HANA\nDrive incident and change management in line with ITIL practices\nCreate and maintain shift rosters, ensure task allocation and productivity improvement\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure planning, system sizing, HA/DR strategies\nMaintain system documentation, support IT audits, and ensure compliance\nProvide RCA, support patching, upgrades, and kernel/database maintenance\nTrain junior consultants and ensure knowledge sharing within the team\nTechnical Skills:\nExpertise in SAP Basis (ABAP + Java Stack), FRUN, Cloud ALM , Solution Manager\nOS: Unix/Linux/Windows; DB: HANA, ASE, Oracle, DB2, MaxDB\nStrong hands-on with SAP installations, refreshes, upgrades, and patches\nPerformance monitoring (CPU, memory, I/O), SAP system assessments\nUnderstanding of Unicode conversions, system copies, and user management\nMust-Have Execution Skills:\nProven leadership of 15–20 team members in shifts\nExperience in multiple SAP support projects\nSolid understanding of ITIL framework, incident & change management\nAbility to work independently on planning, sizing, and architecture-related tasks\n\nDesired Profile:\n4-7 years of relevant SAP Basis experience\nStrong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills\nExposure to Agile methodologies and project basics\nSelf-driven with ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
