About the Job\nWe are seeking a technically minded Marketo professional who can work directly with a US based financial services company’s Marketing Head and business stakeholders from day one. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience using Marketo in a production environment and be comfortable discussing lead management, lead scoring, smart campaigns, program structures, segmentation, forms, landing pages, reporting, and integrations.\n\nThis role is not a software development role. However, you should understand how Marketo exchanges data with external systems through APIs and integrations, including Salesforce CRM and other custom web applications.\nYou will act as a bridge between business users, marketing teams, and the development team.\n\nCore Responsibilities\n- Stakeholder Consultation & Requirement Gathering: Act as the primary technical partner for the Marketing Head and business stakeholders to translate marketing strategies into executable Marketo solutions.\n\n- End-to-End Campaign & Lifecycle Architecture: Own the technical setup of Marketo core functions, including lead lifecycle management, behavioural lead scoring, smart campaigns, and automated nurturing.\n\n- Salesforce CRM Synchronisation & Data Mapping: Manage the bi-directional Salesforce-Marketo sync across core objects (Leads, Contacts, Opportunities), ensuring precise field mapping and data normalisation.\n\n- API & Systems Integration Management: Partner with engineering teams to oversee Marketo data exchanges with custom web applications using REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.\n\n- Marketing Assets & Execution Oversight: Build and optimize operational marketing assets, including smart forms, landing pages, email programs, and scalable program templates.\n\n- System Health, Troubleshooting & Analytics: Lead the technical resolution of Marketo operational issues and sync errors while establishing data-driven reporting for marketing performance.\n\n- Cross-Functional Bridging: Serve as the critical bridge connecting marketing leadership, business users, and backend development teams to align goals and technical execution.\n\nRequired Skills\nMarketo Experience\n- Hands-on experience using Adobe Marketo Engage in a production environment.\n- Strong understanding of Marketo architecture and data model.\n- Experience with Smart Campaigns, Smart Lists, Programs, Program Statuses, and Lead Lifecycle Management.\n- Experience with Lead Scoring and Lead Nurturing.\n- Experience with Forms, Landing Pages, and Email Programs.\n- Experience troubleshooting Marketo operational issues.\n- Experience supporting marketing teams and business users.\n\nCRM & Integration Knowledge\n- Understanding of Marketo REST APIs and integration capabilities.\n- Understanding of how data is exchanged between Marketo and Salesforce.\n- Understanding of lead synchronization concepts.\n- Understanding of field mapping and data normalization.\n- Experience working with custom web applications that exchange data with Marketo.\n- Ability to participate in integration discussions with engineering teams.\n- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.\n\nSalesforce Knowledge\n- Understanding of Salesforce CRM objects including Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities, and Campaigns.\n- Experience working in environments where Salesforce and Marketo are integrated.\n- Ability to troubleshoot common Salesforce-Marketo synchronization issues.\n\nBusiness & Communication Skills\n- Ability to work directly with Leadership; Marketing Head and business stakeholders.\n- Strong communication and requirement-gathering skills.\n- Ability to translate business requirements into Marketo solutions.\n- Ability to coordinate between client stakeholders and development teams.\n- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nNice to have\n- Experience in the Financial Services industry.\n- Experience with Marketing Operations or Revenue Operations.\n- Adobe Marketo certifications.\n- Experience with Salesforce administration.\n- Exposure to CRM integrations and middleware platforms.\n\nQualifications\n- B.Tech / BE / M.Tech / M.E / MCA, in Computer Science or a related technical degree.\n- 5+ years of overall experience.\n- 2+ years of hands-on Marketo experience preferred.\n- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
