JOB DESCRIPTION – LOGISTICS

Job Summary:

The Logistics Executive is responsible for planning and executing efficient product distribution by optimizing delivery routes, managing logistics partners, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to distributors. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to maintain smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and optimize delivery routes based on distributor locations and order sheets to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Coordinate daily dispatch activities and monitor delivery schedules.
  • Appoint and manage driver-cum-logistics partners for transportation requirements.
  • Identify and onboard vehicle leasing vendors/contracts as per business needs.
  • Ensure proper allocation of vehicles for dispatch operations.
  • Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of products to distributors.
  • Monitor delivery performance and address any delays or issues proactively.
  • Maintain records of dispatch, transportation, and delivery status.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and distribution teams for smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Optimize logistics costs while maintaining service quality.

  • Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain processes
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel / logistics software

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics / distribution management

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in FMCG / distribution-based companies
  • Should be familiar with Bangalore and Chennai locations
  • Hands-on experience in route planning and fleet/vendor management

  • On-time delivery rate
  • Route efficiency and cost optimization
  • Vendor/driver performance
  • Reduction in delivery delays and complaints
