With a footprint across 40 nations, NIIT offers training and development solutions to Individuals, Enterprises and Institutions.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nPosition: Learning Designer & Developer\nMode: Contract (1 year)\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign and develop high‑quality, learner‑centered learning experiences for external audiences, aligned to defined learning objectives, experience frameworks, and curriculum standards\nExecute externally focused learning strategy, producing instructional designs, storyboards, scripts, slide decks, facilitator guides, participant materials, and supporting assets\nDevelop digital, blended, and instructor‑led learning experiences intended for clients, partners, and ecosystem participants, using established templates, tools, and design standards\nLeverage AI‑enabled tools to accelerate the creation of draft learning designs, storyboards, scripts, and content outlines, applying instructional expertise to validate, refine, and finalize outputs\nApply sound instructional and learning experience design judgment to ensure AI‑assisted outputs meet learning objectives, professional audience expectations\nPartner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help shape complex, technical, or domain‑specific content into effective learning experiences for external learners\nSupport ongoing curriculum maintenance, enhancements, and revisions across an existing portfolio of externally delivered learning assets\nSupport the implementation of translations and localization, including preparing content for handoff, addressing design considerations, and validating localized versions against original learning intent\nEnsure learning experiences meet quality, accessibility, brand, and governance standards\nDesign content for modularity, reuse, and localization, enabling efficient scaling across regions, markets, and external audience segments\nCollaborate effectively with global stakeholders across time zones, including curriculum architects, project leads, localization partners, and fellow designers and developers\n\nQualifications\n\n3–6 years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or learning experience design, ideally supporting external or professional audiences\nDemonstrated experience delivering end‑to‑end learning assets, from design through development and build\nStrong understanding of adult learning principles and learning experience design best practices\nDemonstrated ability to use AI‑enabled tools to support content development, including drafting designs, scripts, or learning assets, with clear accountability for final outputs\nExperience working with Subject Matter Experts and incorporating structured feedback into final deliverables\nExperience supporting localization or translation workflows for learning content (in partnership with vendors or internal teams)\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English\nExperience working in structured, enterprise environments with defined standards, processes, and governance\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nExperience designing learning for external, client‑facing, or professional audiences\nFamiliarity with common learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, or similar platforms\nExperience developing video‑based or media‑rich learning experiences\nExperience using AI‑enabled content creation tools (e.g., Synthesia or similar), or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply AI tools to improve efficiency in learning design and development workflows\nComfort working within a global delivery model with distributed, cross‑functional teams\n\nEqual Opportunity Statement\n\nNIIT is an equal opportunity employer.
