Assistant Professor of English

The Department of English and Foreign Languages , SRMIST, invites applications from motivated, research-active academics to join as Assistant Professor (English). The incumbent will be responsible for teaching English language and communication courses to undergraduate engineering students, contributing to high-quality research output, and participating in departmental and institutional academic initiatives.

• Teach English language, communication, and literature courses to B.Tech students across disciplines
• Design and deliver outcome-based curriculum aligned with programme objectives
• Publish research in Scopus / Web of Science indexed journals Mentor students in academic writing, presentations, and competitive examinations
• Participate in departmental activities including syllabus revision, BoS meetings, and accreditation processes
• Contribute to funded research projects, consultancy, and international collaborations
• Engage with industry partners for communication training and placement support
