Assistant Manager/ Lead Assistant Manager - Strategic Sourcing
Job Description
Manage end-to-end sourcing for assigned categories — from understanding the requirement to closing the contract.
Work closely with business teams to understand their needs and help shape the right sourcing approach.
Run RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, evaluate suppliers, and support decision-making with relevant comparisons.
Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, commercials, and key terms to get the best possible outcome.
Do basic market research to identify suppliers and understand pricing benchmarks.
Coordinate with Legal, Risk, InfoSec, and other teams to ensure all required checks are completed
Build and manage relationships with suppliers for ongoing engagements.
Track sourcing progress, savings, and timelines, and share updates with stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation is maintained for audits and internal reviews.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in sourcing / procurement roles.
Hands-on experience in running sourcing events (RFPs, negotiations, supplier evaluation).
Good understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
Comfortable working with different stakeholders and managing expectations.
Decent negotiation skills with practical exposure.
Familiarity with tools like SAP Ariba or similar procurement platforms.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to manage multiple requirements at the same time.
