We design, install, and maintain rooftop solar systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers, and are an empanelled channel partner under the Government of India's PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. We are expanding our presence in Jaipur and are looking for a driven, technically sound sales professional to join our growing team.
ROLE SUMMARY
As a Sales Executive — Solar Rooftop Systems, you will be the face of GWSPL in the Jaipur market. You will be responsible for generating leads, educating prospects, conducting technical site assessments, and closing rooftop solar deals for residential and small commercial customers. This is a high-impact, on-ground role that blends technical knowledge with consultative selling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
%B8; Identify and develop a strong pipeline of residential and SME customers in Jaipur through field visits, referrals, digital leads, and housing society activations.
%B8; Conduct technical site surveys, assess rooftop suitability, prepare shadow analysis, and present customised solar proposals to prospects.
%B8; Educate customers on solar system specifications, financial benefits, government subsidies (PM Surya Ghar), net metering, and payback period calculations.
%B8; Coordinate with the engineering and project team for accurate system design, BOQ preparation, and timely execution post-sale.
%B8; Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets (kWp installed / revenue) by converting qualified leads through a structured sales funnel.
%B8; Build and maintain relationships with key channel influencers — architects, builders, electricians, and housing society RWAs.
%B8; Facilitate subsidy documentation, DISCOM interconnection applications (JVVNL / AVVNL), and net metering approvals for customers.
%B8; Submit daily/weekly activity reports, pipeline trackers, and customer visit summaries to the sales manager.
%B8; Represent GWSPL at expos, exhibitions, and solar awareness campaigns in the Jaipur region.

B. Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering

MBA in Marketing / Sales / Energy Management (any recognised institute)
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
%B8; Strong understanding of solar PV systems — modules, inverters, mounting structures, and grid connectivity.
%B8; Excellent communication and persuasion skills; ability to explain complex technical products in simple language to homeowners and business owners.
%B8; Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets for preparing system quotes, ROI calculations, and sales MIS.
%B8; Self-motivated with high ownership; ability to independently manage a territory and pipeline without micromanagement.
%B8; Familiarity with Rajasthan DISCOM regulations, net metering processes, and government subsidy schemes is a strong plus.
%B8; Basic understanding of financial concepts — EMI, IRR, payback period — for convincing customer investment decisions.
%B8; Valid two-wheeler / four-wheeler driving licence; willing to travel within Jaipur and surrounding districts.
EXPERIENCE
%B8; 1–5 years of field sales experience preferred; fresh B. Tech graduates with strong drive and solar internship experience will be considered.
%B8; Prior experience in solar, renewable energy, electrical goods, or capital goods sales will be given strong preference.
%B8; Demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets in a field-intensive role.
