Job Description
Role Summary
The Workday Delivery Head is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery, governance, and operational excellence of Workday implementations, support engagements, and transformation programs. This role oversees delivery teams across Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, Integrations, Reporting, Security, and AMS services while ensuring customer satisfaction, profitability, quality, and scalable delivery processes.
Were looking for someone who combines strong Workday functional and program management expertise with leadership to drive large-scale enterprise transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership
Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday implementation, enhancement, and support programs.
Establish delivery governance, project management standards, and operational KPIs.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
Manage multiple concurrent enterprise Workday programs globally.
Drive delivery excellence and continuous process improvement.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the executive escalation point for customers and internal leadership.
Build strong relationships with client executives, HR leaders, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
Conduct steering committee meetings and provide delivery status updates.
Collaborate with sales and account management teams during pre-sales and solution discussions.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor Workday consultants, project managers, architects, and delivery managers.
Drive resource planning, utilization, competency development, and workforce scaling.
Build high-performing delivery teams and succession plans.
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Delivery Governance & Quality
Define delivery frameworks, methodologies, templates, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and Workday implementation methodology.
Monitor delivery risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
Conduct delivery reviews, quality audits, and performance tracking.
Financial & Operational Management
Own delivery P&L, revenue forecasting, margins, and utilization metrics.
Track project financials and ensure profitability targets are met.
Optimize delivery operations and improve efficiency.
Support business growth through delivery capability expansion.
Practice Development
Contribute to Workday practice growth strategy.
Support capability building across Workday HCM, Finance, Integrations, Security, Reporting, and AMS.
Develop reusable accelerators, frameworks, and solution assets.
Stay updated with Workday releases, market trends, and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
Experience
12+ years of IT consulting or enterprise application delivery experience.
7+ years of Workday implementation and delivery leadership experience.
Experience managing large-scale global Workday transformation programs.
Strong background in Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, Integrations, Security, and Reporting.
Experience handling AMS/support engagements and managed services.
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong understanding of Workday architecture and deployment methodology.
Expertise in program management, delivery governance, and stakeholder management.
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Knowledge of Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Prism, and Reporting preferred.
Familiarity with integration technologies and enterprise systems.
Leadership Skills
Strong people management and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage global and cross-functional teams.
