JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Sales Support Role to support sales and commercial activities related to the lubes, chemicals, coatings to vessels calling at Indian and international ports. The role requires proactive handling of customer inquiries, preparation and analysis of quotations, coordination with supply partners, follow-ups to close sales, and support with invoicing and basic financial analysis.

This role suits a go-getter who is eager to take ownership, actively follow up, and close sales.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and manage customer inquiries.
  • Prepare and issue sales quotations based on vessel and customer requirements.
  • Source and compare quotations.
  • Perform price comparisons, data crunching, and basic margin analysis.
  • Proactively follow up with customers to close orders.
  • Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure timely supply execution.
  • Track supply completion and ensure all documentation is accurate.
  • Raise invoices post-supply and follow up with customers.
  • Maintain sales, operational, and financial records.


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data handling and analysis.
  • Basic understanding of finance, pricing, and commercial operations.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong desire to close sales.
  • Good communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tasks independently.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS (PREFERRED)

  • Knowledge of Tally, Zoho (Zoho Books / Zoho CRM), or similar ERP/accounting tools.
  • Exposure to shipping, marine lubricants, paints, Chemicals, logistics or trading operations.
  • Data Science background is a plus.
