Role Overview

As a BIM Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary BIM project delivery, coordination workflows, technical reviews, model quality, and team execution across multiple large-scale projects.

This role goes beyond BIM modeling. You will actively contribute to project planning, coordination strategy, client interactions, resource management, technical decision-making, and project delivery. You will serve as a key link between project stakeholders, consultants, internal teams, and BIM Coordinators to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead BIM delivery for large-scale Residential, Commercial, Mixed-Use, Industrial, Hospitality, and Infrastructure projects.
• Manage project execution plans, delivery schedules, milestones, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and coordination challenges.
• Ensure timely delivery of BIM models, drawings, reports, and project documentation in accordance with client requirements and project timelines.
• Support Project Managers and senior leadership in achieving project objectives and delivery commitments.

BIM Coordination & Technical Management

• Lead multidisciplinary BIM coordination involving Architecture, Structure, MEP, Interior, Landscape, and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct model reviews, clash detection exercises, constructability assessments, and coordination workshops.
• Drive issue resolution by coordinating with consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Review and validate BIM deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure consistency between BIM models, construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical and coordination-related decision-making.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead and mentor a team of Design Architects, BIM Architects Engineers, BIM Coordinators, and Modelers.
• Allocate tasks, monitor team productivity, and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on BIM standards, modeling practices, and coordination workflows.
• Support team development through training, mentoring, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, quality, and continuous learning.

BIM Standards & Process Improvement

• Implement and maintain BIM standards, project workflows, templates, and best practices.
• Support BIM Execution Plan (BEP) development and project-specific BIM implementation strategies.
• Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Promote the effective use of BIM technologies to improve project coordination, communication, and delivery efficiency.
• Support ISO 19650-aligned information management and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows where applicable.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Participate in client meetings, coordination workshops, and project review sessions.
• Present project updates, coordination findings, and technical recommendations to stakeholders.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Act as a trusted technical point of contact for BIM-related project matters.

Technology & Digital Delivery

• Utilize Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and other BIM technologies for project delivery.
• Support model federation, issue tracking, BIM coordination, and digital project workflows.
• Contribute to the adoption of emerging technologies and digital construction practices across projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Architecture

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
• Strong understanding of design development, construction documentation, and BIM coordination.

Structure

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong understanding of RCC and steel structures, detailing, and multidisciplinary coordination.

MEP

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering disciplines.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Building Services coordination.

Common Requirements

• 6–12 years of relevant BIM and project delivery experience.
• Proven experience leading BIM teams and managing large-scale projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and Navisworks.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) preferred.
• Strong understanding of BIM coordination, clash detection, and project delivery workflows.
• Experience working on projects exceeding 500,000 sq. ft. will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
