Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data models and transformations using dbt and SQL
• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines on AWS cloud data services
• Work extensively with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics use cases
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python
• Implement and enforce CI/CD best practices for data engineering workflows
• Collaborate closely with product, analytics, and BI teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
• Perform code reviews, define engineering standards, and ensure best practices
• Lead and mentor 2–3 team members, managing workload, delivery timelines, and technical guidance
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term data platform strategy
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across business and technical teams
Primary Skills (Mandatory)
• Strong SQL expertise (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
• Proficient in Python for data engineering
• Strong experience with AWS data services (S3, Lambda, Step Functions)
• Extensive experience with Snowflake data warehouse
• Version control using Git
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with CI/CD practices
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Experience in an IC + leadership role, managing a team of 2–3 members
