Lead Engineering Manager

As a Node.js Backend Developer, you will play a key role in building and scaling the backend systems that power modern, high-performance applications. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, designing robust APIs, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure products. You will contribute across the full backend lifecycle-from design and development to deployment and optimization-while maintaining high standards of code quality and system performance.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Node.js and frameworks such as Express, NestJS, or Fastify.
• Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
• Integrate backend systems with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Ensure backend services meet high standards for security, data protection, scalability, and reliability.
• Optimize application performance to handle high traffic and large data volumes efficiently.
• Implement automated testing (unit and integration) and support CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in design discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve system stability.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• You have 2+ years of hands-on experience building backend systems with Node.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• You are comfortable working with relational databases such as MySQL, as well as understanding NoSQL concepts.
• You have a solid grasp of asynchronous programming, API design, and backend best practices.
• You care deeply about clean, maintainable code and enjoy improving performance and reliability.
• You are familiar with Git, DevOps workflows, and cloud-based environments.
• You communicate clearly, collaborate well with diverse teams, and adapt quickly in dynamic settings.
