Pepper helps brands win organic search, AI search, and every organic channel that drives growth. We're building an AI-native customer success team, and we're looking for an Organic Growth Lead to own organic growth for a small set of our customers across search, AI engines, and channel-level distribution.


Search is changing fast. Buyers now discover brands through Google, through AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, and through communities and creators on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Reddit. We're looking for someone who understands this new landscape deeply and can confidently build growth across all of it.

About the role


As an Organic Growth Lead, you'll be the growth partner for a focused set of accounts (around 5–6). You'll set the growth direction, work alongside an SEO Lead, and lead a small pod that brings the plan to life. You won't do it alone — you'll have a strong team, proven playbooks, our AI workflows, and a center of excellence behind you.


This is a role where strategy and delivery come together: you decide what will move the needle for each customer across SEO, GEO, and distribution, then make sure it actually ships.


What you'll do

  • Own the growth plan for your accounts — what we focus on, the pace, and the channels that matter most for each customer
  • Partner with an SEO Lead and guide a pod (content, SEO/GEO, distribution, and project management) where everyone does one job really well
  • Run and refine our AI-powered content and SEO workflows (we'll train you on these)
  • Keep customers close with clear communication, regular reviews, and honest reporting
  • Connect the work back to outcomes that matter: organic growth that turns into pipeline


Win in AI Search and GEO


This is central to the role, not a side skill. You'll own how our customers show up in AI-driven search:


  • Build a clear point of view on how AI engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews — retrieve, rank, and cite brands, and what it takes to be the answer they surface
  • Shape content, entities, and authority signals so our customers get cited and recommended by AI engines, not just ranked on a blue-link page
  • Run GEO audits and turn them into concrete fixes: structure, schema, entity coverage, citability, and brand attribution
  • Stay ahead of how AI search is evolving and translate that into an advantage for every account


Own channel-level distribution


Great content only wins when it reaches the right place. You'll build distribution strategy that goes well beyond the website, with a real understanding of how each channel actually works:


  • SEO / GEO — search and AI-answer visibility as the foundation
  • YouTube — search and suggested-led discovery, and how video compounds organic reach
  • LinkedIn — founder- and brand-led organic reach and thought leadership
  • Reddit and communities — authentic presence plus the growing role of community content in both Google and AI search
  • Digital PR — authority, links, and building the brand as a recognised entity


You'll decide which channels matter for each customer, why, and how they reinforce each other — then drive the pod to execute.


What you'll bring


  • Strong experience in SEO, content, or organic growth, with a real understanding of how organic compounds over time
  • A confident grasp of GEO and AI search — or a deep curiosity and the drive to become an expert fast
  • An understanding of channel-level distribution: how YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Digital PR each work, and how to use them together
  • An ownership mindset: you like setting direction, not just ticking off tasks
  • Comfort using AI tools to work faster and better — we'll help you level up
  • Strong communication and the ability to build trust with customers
  • The ability to juggle a few accounts and keep them all moving


Nice to have


  • Hands-on experience improving AI-search visibility and earning AI citations
  • A background in agencies, consulting, or in-house growth teams
  • Proven results on a specific distribution channel (YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, or Digital PR)
  • A habit of turning wins into repeatable systems and SOPs
