Business Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Business Finance & MIS Executive will support the organization in financial planning,

business performance monitoring, MIS reporting, KPI tracking, and data-driven decision

making. The role involves close coordination with sales, operations, design, and management

teams to track bookings, project progress, and business metrics while ensuring timely reporting

and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

1. MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for senior management.

• Develop and maintain automated MIS dashboards for business performance tracking.

• Consolidate data from ERP systems, sales reports, and operational teams.

2. Booking vs Design Monitoring

• Track sales bookings vs design approvals to ensure operational alignment.

• Identify delays between order booking and design execution.

• Provide management with progress reports on booked projects vs design readiness.

3. Business Performance & Metrics Analysis

• Track key business metrics and operational performance indicators.

• Analyze sales pipeline, revenue realization, order backlog, and project progress.

• Prepare business performance summaries for leadership meetings.

• Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities based on data analysis.

• Support management in strategic decision-making using business insights.

4. KPI Tracking & Dashboard Management

• Define and maintain KPI tracking frameworks for various departments.

• Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual performance vs targets.

• Create performance dashboards for leadership review.

• Highlight performance gaps and improvement opportunities.

• Assist department heads in tracking team performance metrics.

5. Financial Analysis & Business Finance Support

• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.

• Conduct variance analysis between actuals vs budget/forecast.

• Support cost analysis and profitability analysis.

• Prepare unit economics and project profitability reports.

• Monitor revenue, margins, and operational cost efficiency.

6. Data Analysis & Decision Support

• Analyze large datasets to identify business insights and operational trends.

• Provide data-backed recommendations to improve business performance.

• Support management with ad-hoc analytical reports.

• Create data visualization reports for executive presentations.

7. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work with Sales, Operations, Design, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.

• Ensure smooth information flow across departments.

• Support teams with data required for operational decision-making.

• Coordinate for timely closure of reporting cycles.

Key Skills Required

• Strong financial analysis and business analytics skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets

• Knowledge of ERP systems (ERPNext preferred)

• Experience in MIS reporting and dashboard creation

• Strong data interpretation and problem-solving ability

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

• Knowledge of Power BI / Tableau (preferred)

Qualification

• CA / MBA Finance (Tier 1)

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in Business Finance / MIS / Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
