Role Summary:\nWe are seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Educator to support the academic development of student-athletes. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to integrate English instruction with athletic schedules, and a commitment to helping athletes excel both academically and in their respective sports. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering literacy skills, critical thinking, and effective communication in student-athletes while ensuring their educational success.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nTeach English Language and Literature for Grades 10–12 across multiple educational boards but a small group.\nPrepare students for board-level assessments.\nDesign and deliver English communication and public speaking modules, tailored to the needs of IIS athletes.\nClassify athletes based on proficiency and create structured sessions accordingly.\nFocus on qualitative and quantitative outcomes in communication skill-building\nContribute to the IIS Newsletter – content creation, editing, and mentoring\nGuide and prepare athletes for debates, media engagements, emceeing, and other institutional events\nCollaboration & Integration\nCoordinate with coaches, sports science staff and academic staff to align communication training with athlete development\nCollaborate with academic team members to ensure consistency in content delivery and student tracking\nWork with event and media teams for smooth planning and representation of athletes in IIS activities\nContribute to interdisciplinary sessions and life skill modules that involve communication, leadership, or presentation skills\nCore Competencies and Skills\nFluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written)\nStrong classroom presence and ability to train in public speaking and media interaction\nExperience in developing and delivering English communication modules, preferably for non-traditional learners\nCreativity in planning athlete-relevant, real-life communication tasks\nPatience and empathy in working with students managing academic and athletic pressures\nFlexibility in adjusting schedules and session plans around training demands\nSkill in providing both qualitative feedback and tracking quantitative progress\nBasic tech proficiency (Google tools, session logs, digital content delivery)\nProficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nRequirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, or Communication\nB.Ed.

(mandatory for teaching under school board curricula)\nPrior experience teaching in school setup\nDemonstrated ability to create structured, outcome-oriented communication modules suited for the IIS environment\nPreferred Qualifications\n2–4 years of teaching or communication training experience\nFreshers with strong communication skills and the ability to meet role expectations are also welcome\nExperience in speech training, debates, creative writing, or co-curricular mentoring is a plus\nComfort with blended/hybrid instruction and performance-based evaluation methods
