Network Security Architect

Title: Firewall & Automation Architect\nDuration: Minimum 1-year contract engagement + Possible Extension\n\nLocation: Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Hyderabad (Work from Office). Other locations: Hybrid model with a minimum of 3 days per week from the nearest office.\n\nOverview\nWe are supporting a strategic banking client initiative and are seeking a senior Architect-level professional to join the Engineering Architecture team. This role will drive the alignment of firewall engineering, automation, and development practices while supporting the organization's transition toward modern and open-source security technologies.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide architectural leadership for firewall and network security platforms.\nDefine and drive automation strategies across firewall operations and engineering functions.\nAlign development and automation initiatives with the broader Engineering Architecture roadmap.\nLead the evaluation and adoption of open-source firewall technologies and related security solutions.\nDesign scalable automation frameworks leveraging scripting and software development best practices.\nMentor engineering teams and establish architecture standards, governance, and best practices.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to define long-term security and infrastructure strategies.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\nExpert-level knowledge of enterprise firewall technologies including Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco.\nStrong understanding of network security architecture and security operations.\nExperience evaluating or implementing open-source firewall platforms.\nAdvanced scripting and development skills (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar).\nExperience leading automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.\nProven track record in architecture, design, and technical leadership roles.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
