Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Audit Senior to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end audit process for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services and an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure audit files contain all necessary documentation, properly organised in the appropriate sections.
- Analyse accounting data from client records, providing insights and recommendations.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory, internal audit methodology, and risk management requirements.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
- Identify and understand client needs, offering tailored solutions and executing them effectively.
- Address client queries promptly and professionally, promoting loyalty and trust.
- Mentor and support junior team members, answering questions and ensuring high-quality work.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver accurate and timely client files and audits.
- Deliver client work in adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and review client documents, including accounts, tax filings, PAYE, and VAT submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Drive efficiency and quality by utilising best practices and leveraging available tools and technology.
Requirements:
- Qualified practice accountant (ACA or ACCA)
- Broad and demonstrable audit experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of audit clients, ranging from small to large entities.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards, including FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
