We are seeking a passionate and dedicated MYP Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and concept-driven Mathematics instruction aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework. The role requires a strong commitment to student-centered learning, inquiry-based teaching methodologies, and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills among learners.

Candidates with experience teaching Mathematics at middle and secondary school levels, along with a deep understanding of modern pedagogical practices, will be highly valued. Fresh educators with strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons in accordance with the MYP curriculum framework.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic excellence and student engagement.
  • Develop lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments that encourage conceptual understanding and real-world application of mathematical principles.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress using formative and summative assessment strategies.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and development.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests of students.
  • Foster inquiry-based learning and encourage students to become independent thinkers and lifelong learners.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance classroom learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, grades, and student progress reports.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, coordinators, and school leadership to support curriculum planning and school initiatives.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings, professional development programs, workshops, and school events.
  • Uphold school policies, academic standards, and safeguarding practices at all times.

Required Skills

  • Exposure to differentiated instruction and inclusive education practices.
  • Understanding of interdisciplinary learning and curriculum integration.
  • Experience mentoring students in mathematics competitions, clubs, or enrichment programs.
  • Knowledge of data-driven instruction and student performance analysis.
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development and academic planning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or relevant educational qualification preferred.
  • Experience ranging from 1 to 14 years in teaching Mathematics at middle or secondary school levels.
  • Experience in IB MYP schools will be an added advantage.
