Job Description for Ansible Automation Engineer:

Position: Ansible Automation Engineer Location: [offshore ] Type: Contract

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Ansible Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions using Ansible for efficient and scalable infrastructure and application deployment. The Ansible Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and ensure the reliability and security of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement Ansible playbooks, roles, and templates to automate system provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
• Collaborate with DevOps, system administrators, and developers to understand automation requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts and infrastructure, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation processes, infrastructure, and deployments.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and implement security best practices within the automation framework.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in automation, DevOps, and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

   - PowerShell (Windows automation)
   - Bash/Shell scripting (Linux Automation)

2. Configuration Management Tools
- Ansible Automation (and AWX)

3. Version Control
- GitHub (Understanding on branching, merging, pull requests)

4. CI/CD Tools
- Jenkins & GitHub Actions

5. Operating Systems
- Strong knowledge of Linux Administration (RHEL & AIX)
- Strong knowledge with Windows Server administration

6. Security & Networking
- Basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, firewalls, SSH, WinRM, HTTPS)
- Credential management (Vaults, Secrets)

7. Monitoring & Logging
- Basic Understanding on Monitoring tools
- Understanding on how to automate alerts and dashboards
