Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS EKS, microservices architecture, container technologies, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities:

• AWS EKS Administration:
  • Manage and maintain AWS EKS clusters, including node provisioning, scaling, and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to EKS clusters and Kubernetes workloads.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for EKS security, including network security, access control, and vulnerability management.
• IaC Terreform and DevOps:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Terraform modules to automate the provisioning and configuration of AWS infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IaC and DevOps tools and processes.
• Microservices Operations:
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of microservices deployed on EKS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to microservices, including container failures, network connectivity problems, and service mesh configurations using ISTIO.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operations of microservices.
• Incident Response:
  • Respond to incidents and outages, quickly diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security best practices and implement measures to protect cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Atleast 4-6 Years of IT Experience of which 2-4 years of hands-on experience with AWS EKS, including cluster management, node provisioning, and workload deployment.
• 2-4 years of experience with microservices architecture, container technologies (Docker, ECS), and service mesh (Istio).
• 3-4 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or related technologies.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Dynatrace, ServiceNow).
