Job Description:
Commvault, Rubrik (Added advantage), Azure, Oracle DB, SQL DB, NetApp volumes, Sybase servers, O365 services. Key Tasks Responsibilities Administer, monitor, and maintain Commvault backup infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. Perform regular backup jobs, restores, and disaster recovery testing. Troubleshoot backup failures and performance issues, ensuring data integrity and availability. Configure and manage backup policies, schedules, and retention settings. Collaborate with system, network, and application teams to ensure comprehensive data protection. Generate and analyze backup reports, logs, and metrics to ensure compliance with SLAs. Maintain documentation for backup configurations, procedures, and recovery plans. Stay current with Commvault updates, patches, and best practices. Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed. Qualifications and Education Requirements 6 years OF EXPERIENCE in Commvault Backup tool Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Commvault Professional certification, any other Commvault Certification. Azure certifications Desired Preferred Qualifications In-depth understanding of the Commvault Backup solution for business continuity and disaster recovery in virtualized environments. Replication, Sizing drives into the replication mechanics and how to size environments properly for Commvault deployments. How to manage recovery operations effectively via Commvault backup solution. Hands on experience on configuring managing backups of various OS systems, Oracle DB, SQL DB, NetApp volumes, Sybase servers, O365 services. Hands one experience on restore process via multiple method. Good knowledge on Threat Hunting process. Understanding of APIs integration with Commvault. Common Issues, Troubleshooting, Commvault typical challenges, troubleshooting techniques, and how to engage Commvault support Advance Knowledge of VMware, vCenter Roles and Permissions focus on the network aspects such as required ports and vCenter roles and permissions needed for Rubric. Comprehensive knowledge and expertise to manage and implement Commvault backup solutions, and skills in disaster recovery and virtual replication. Azure experience in virtualization, networking, identity, and storage. Understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies, including VMs, virtual networking, and virtual hard disks. Understanding of network configurations, including TCPIP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies. Understanding of Active Directory concepts, including users, groups, and role-based access control. Understanding of resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and restore operations.
