Job Description:
Mandatory skills:
Mechanical Stream:
- 3–8 years in cost engineering, preferably in automotive, Medical or energy domains
- Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems and manufacturing processes
- Experience in costing of mechanical parts & assemblies involving stamping, injection molding, die casting, forging, machining and secondary finishing processes etc...
- Experience with VAVE, cost modeling tools, and supplier negotiations
- Familiarity working on COTS tools like Siemens TcPCM, aPriori, SEER etc...
Electrical and Electronics Stream:
- 3-5+ years of experience in Should Costing and Value Engineering for electronics hardware.
- Strong understanding of PCBA design and manufacturing, wire harnessing, display technologies, and electronic component sourcing.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving measurable cost savings through engineering and sourcing strategies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity working on COTS tools like Siemens TcPCM, aPriori, SEER etc...
Desired Skills:
- Perform Product Teardown & Should-cost analysis for Automotive / Energy equipments, PCB/PCBA, Wire-harness & Tool/ Dies/Mold Costing etc.
- Lead VAVE workshops to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with design, sourcing, and suppliers to optimize product cost
- Support new product development with early cost estimation
- Analyze supplier quotes and manufacturing processes for cost validation
- Drive supply chain cost reduction and localization strategies
- Develop and maintain cost models for PCBA, wire harnesses, displays, connectors, sensors, and other hardware components.
- Analyze Gerber files, schematics, and BOMs to estimate electronic component costs
- Analyze BOMs, build and maintain detailed cost models for PCBA, wire harnesses, displays (LCD, OLED, TFT), connectors, sensors, and other electronic hardware components.
- Identify cost drivers and benchmark against industry standards to support sourcing and supplier negotiations.
- Lead VAVE workshops to identify cost-saving opportunities
